Adrenilin Central
4 days and counting. EURO 2004 is almost here.
I cannot wait. So many thoughts in my head. Whos said What?, Who is fit?
Who is playing mind games.....The whole atmosphere is mind boggling. I feel like a 5 year old kid about to go to Disneyland:)

For a start, check out the schedule for the games here. All times in the Eastern Time Zone.(US)

2.30 p.m. EST on Sunday is one of the games of the tournament.
Defending champions France take on an "almost great" England side. With John Terry facing an uphill fitness battle, England's defence is the biggest worry. France's star studded line up doesn't help either. BUT...BUT...The French did collapse in the World Cup. Lets pray Zizu & Co. don't cause too much of a stir in their opening game.

I know a true supporter cheers only one team on..in thick and thin....I, on the other hand am cheering on the orangemen from Holland too. The likes of Clerance Seedorf and Philip Cocu deserve some silverware on the internation circuit as well.

I was reading an interesting article in which Arsene Wenger cast doubt on Spain's chances of going all the way to the final, because they lacked a physical aspect to their defence due to a lack of a "multi-cultral society" in Spain. He mentioned that unlike Spain, most of the French defenders namely Thuram,Dessaily, etc are of an African descent. I found this comment rather interesting. Is it Wenger's rule of thumb, that big *black* defenders are key to a good team. Arsenal's defence = Sol Campbell, Kolo Toure, Ashley Cole..amongst others.

As you can see, I am all about the football for now and probably the next month. It promises to be a great tournament. I plan to watch it on cable/Dish with some friends and also hopefully watch the quarter finals in the Luz stadium in Lisbon if all goes according to plan.I just finished reading David Beckham's Both Feet on The Ground. It is an interesting read, but only if you like soccer. I wouldn't reccommend buying it though :).

I also saw Love Actually (reccomended chick flick), Duplex(7/10) and Harry Potter: The prisoner of Azkaban.(8/10), and Gangs of New York(7.5/10) in this past week.

more later..ciao..
